The Assistant Coach plays a vital role in promoting a clearly defined philosophy of coaching and teaching Women’s Basketball while assisting the head coach in preparing the team to compete at the highest level, with responsibilities that include supporting the organization, administration, and overall coaching of the Women’s Basketball program.
Duties: The assistant coach will:
Assist in recruiting and retaining student athletes.
Assist the head coach in supervising volunteer assistants.
Support the head coach in meeting fundraising goals.
Reports facility or equipment deficiencies or ideas and recommendations to the head coach.
Support the head coach in promoting a positive and collaborative partnership with the athletic department and physical plant leadership.
Drive college or rental vehicle for away competition or team official functions.
Collect and submit team game statistics.
Support and assist, when appropriate, in all team student-athlete success programs.
Display a commitment to equality in player development and training.
Provide student-athletes with a supportive and inclusive environment.
Support head coach’s off- season team activities for player development and engagement.
Comply with all College and USCAA, policies and procedures / rules and regulations and all other aspects of directing a quality intercollegiate Basketball program.
Act as a mandatory reporter for student issues and concerns and potential Title IX and College Code of Conduct violations.
Coach as a professional, mentor, and excellent representative of the values of Bucks County Community College.
Participate in athletic department sponsored student-athlete functions or special events.
Season Salary: $4,000
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience coaching intercollegiate or high school athletics.
Knowledge and experience coaching Women's Basketball.
Knowledge of NCAA, USCAA, or NJCAA rules and compliance.
Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualification:
Certification in CPR and First Aid.
