Regional Event and Travel Consultant (Remote)
Full-time, United States
Dedicated to a media and entertainment client, the Consultant is responsible for managing and coordinating various components of event-related projects and will assist, as needed, not exclusive to events outside the Americas regions. This includes being accountablefor accurately and efficiently handling incoming requests via multiple channels and handling additional duties as assigned.
As a member of the US travel team, the Consultant will work closely with client stakeholders and the global travel team and will serve as a liaison between the client and supplier(s) for the duration of the event, from planning to completion. The Consultant builds and maintains stakeholder relationships and provides value-added guidance while adhering to client procedures and standards.
This position demonstrates an extensive knowledge and applicability of all areas in the travel industry, works independently on requests as assigned, and takes the initiative to assist.
As aRegional Event and Travel Consultant, you will
- Expertly use the appropriate BCD Travel tools and systems to complete incoming requests
- Assist in scheduling meetings, providing logistics help, and planning to ensure smoothimplementation of events within the allocated budget and timeline
- Work closely with client stakeholders and travel team in ensuring accurate and timely information iscommunicated, follow proper event process and standards set out by the client
- Manage hotel group block and rooming list coordination
- Track and manage air, hotel, and vendor attrition, cancellation, and deposit schedules
- Uses industry and BCD / Bloomberg system knowledge to find the root cause of an issue, explore and find alternatives and solutions, and appropriately advise / educate the customer
