Job Summary
As a Dock Worker, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe handling of freight at a dock facility. This role involves loading and unloading trucks, organizing shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight from trucks with care and efficiency
- Organize shipments for distribution
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
- Operate equipment such as forklifts to move freight
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures at all times
Skills
- Experience with loading and unloading various types of freight including tanker, refrigerated trailers, and dump trucks
- Ability to drive and operate commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers
- Proficiency in handling different types of freight efficiently
- Knowledge of truck driving and delivery operations
- Strong attention to detail when handling freight
- Familiarity with working in a fast-paced environment
