Position Title: Application DeveloperLocation: Naperville, Chicago, IL-60563
Expected Duration: 12 Months with Potential for Conversion
Job Type: FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY), [Contract], [Hybrid]
Pay Range: $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).Key responsibilities:
- As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements.
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute to providing solutions to work-related problems.
- Advanced proficiency in Cobol Mainframe is required.
- Advanced proficiency in IBM Db2 is recommended.
- Job Control Language (JCL) at an advanced level of proficiency, Customer Information Control System (CICS) emulators at an advanced level of proficiency, Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) at an advanced level of proficiency, and SQL Databases at an advanced level of proficiency are suggested.
- Develop and implement efficient code solutions using Cobol Mainframe Collaborate with team members to optimize application performance Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IBM Db2 integration Enhance existing applications by utilizing Job Control Language (JCL) effectively Contribute to the improvement of database management through SQL Databases Primary Skills include: - COBOL - DB2 - JCL - CICS - VSAM - IBM Tools - Strong knowledge in SQL
