Job Title : Finance/Accounts Specialist (Exp in money market/US money funds/payments related)
Job Description:
Fund Order & Custody Product is looking for a Project Specialist who will take a lead role in managing select projects supporting the Fund Order and Custody team s 3rd party? mutual fund business.
Working within the Product and Project team, the analyst will be responsible for specific projects related to the Product and Project group reporting directly to the team leader. This person will lead the initiative of automating third party US money market funds in order to improve efficiencies, increase profitability and mitigate risk. The analyst will be responsible for all aspects of the automation initiative, including presenting to senior management, driving discussions with Risk and Office of General Counsel (OGC) and attending outside meetings with transfer agents or fund companies to drive trade/settlement automation.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Support
- Participate in all FO&C project reviews to analyze and prioritize fund families for automation based on activity and or trade value. Will be expected to lead select specific reviews
- Coordinate automation efforts with external funds/transfer agents through the use of pre-existing file transfer (SFTP) automation. Previous experience with SFTP is required.
- Coordinate testing effort related to automation across all impacted teams, including the securing and managing resources, writing test scripts and managing data prep for test region
- Participate in department implementation of all automation initiatives and manage wellness review (Mandatory weekend support)
- Manage post implementation oversight with impacted teams and fund/transfer agent
- Coordinate requirements and automation effort with external funds/transfer agents through the use of proprietary files
- Client Service
- Work with team leads and supervisors to proactively address resource constraints, production vs. testing, to achieve project milestones
- Assist with defect triaging and resolution
- Administration
- Responsible for the timely completion of all project related tasks, including test script and requirement writing, testing plan, UAT and implementation
- Assist in development and production of management reporting for project progress
- In conjunction with OGC, Risk and Compliance, be the point person for all automation related discussions
- Compliance Risk
- Take an active role in any risk, compliance and project teams to compile and analyze data relevant to activity
- Help lead in any remediation efforts
- Manage UAT, Qtest and all related project documentation, ensuring accurate and organized project records
- Financial
- Be Point person to understand all costs and revenues of the automation effort/project.
- Review, with an intent to minimize, testing and implementation costs by streamlining process and reducing redundancies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
- BS/ BA Degree
- > 3 years Project experience
- > 2 years US Money Market experience
- Knowledge of Qtest a plus
Knowledge and skills
- Experienced manager of people and projects
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Strong Communication Skills at all levels
- Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Good at working independently
- Proactive, self-starter
- Ability to motivate teams at all levels
