Job Description : Research Laboratory Technician
Position Type : Contract
Duration : 1-year assignment with extension likely
Work Schedule : Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (flexible start time)
Location : 9330 Zionsville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268
Pay Rate : $23.00 on W2
Overview :
The Predictive Safety Center (PSC) is seeking a contract position to support ecotoxicological research. The successful candidate will collaborate with the ecotoxicology team to assist with daily lab testing and culture care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain testing organisms such as zebrafish and aquatic invertebrates.
- Conduct assays and lab activities related to zebrafish culture maintenance, breeding, etc.
- Under supervision of a senior scientist, weigh materials, prepare reagents, and perform production assays using lab instruments and automation systems.
- Ensure successful testing by adhering to operating instructions and maintaining supplies.
- Assist with testing and calibrating lab equipment when needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control.
- Participate in team and department meetings.
- May involve working with other organisms, such as insects and bees.
