Position : QC Analyst I / Graduate Research Assistant

Location : 1 DNA Way, South San Francisco, CA 94080, USA

Anticipated Start Date : 02 / 27

Expected Duration : 12 Months

Job Type : Contract to Hire

Work Hours :

Arrive between 8-9 am and leave between 4 : 30 – 5 pm.

Pay Rate : $35.00 / hr on W2

Job Responsibilities :

Provide general support for GMP testing laboratories, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless project execution.

Assist with document processing, maintaining accurate records, and organizing documentation archives.

Ensure proper operation and maintenance of controlled temperature units and small lab equipment.

Manage the ordering, stocking, and maintenance of chemical reagents and laboratory supplies.

Perform routine maintenance of GMP labs, ensuring compliance with cGMP, GLP, and safety regulations.

Assist in reagent preparation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.

Day in the Life :

Stock labs with necessary supplies.

Clean and maintain lab equipment, verifying equipment functionality.

Ensure support tasks are performed on time and according to established methods.

Light lifting – comfortable with some lifting required.

Skills Required :

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong initiative and excellent multitasking capabilities.

Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the work.

Must excel in fast-paced environments and be dependable, requiring minimal supervision.

Experience with basic aseptic techniques and sample handling.

Familiarity with basic analytical laboratory equipment, such as balances, pipettes, spectrophotometers, laminar flow hoods, and glassware.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with strong written and verbal proficiency.

Preferred Skills :

Good computer skills, particularly with MS Office / Google Drive.

Previous experience within pharmaceuticals is a bonus, especially familiarity with systems like Veeva, Trackwise, and Labware.

GMP experience, particularly within a Quality Control setting, is highly preferred.

Ideal Candidate :

A recent graduate, ideally with some lab experience during college, and sees this position as a great starting point for their career.

A Master’s degree is considered overqualified for this role.

Education :

A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Life Science or a related field is preferred.
