BC forward is currently seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing GMP Support – Night Shift for an opportunity South San Francisco, CA-Night Shift

Job Title : Manufacturing GMP Support – Night Shift

Location : South San Francisco, CA 94080

Schedule :

Night Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 8 : 00 AM
N1 Team : Sunday–Tuesday (alternating Saturdays)
N2 Team : Wednesday–Friday (alternating Saturdays)

Pay Rate : $16-$23 / hr

Job Summary : -

The Biotherapeutic Manufacturing Associate is responsible for producing innovative biotherapeutic medicines in a highly automated cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) environment. The role involves maintaining a high state of inspection readiness while ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in all tasks. This position requires working in a cleanroom environment, operating specialized equipment, and collaborating with a team to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities :

Cleanroom Maintenance & Compliance :

Perform cleaning and disinfection of ceilings, walls, floors, equipment, and surfaces in cGMP Grade A / B spaces.

Maintain a sterile environment by complying with aseptic medical evaluations and gowning procedures.

Conduct facility walkthroughs, monitor cleaning operations, and address pest control tasks.

Equipment Operation & Process Support :

Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment such as autoclaves, tanks, and filtration systems.

Assemble, clean, and sterilize production equipment using automated washers and autoclaves.

Prepare and document production-related solutions and materials.

Utilize automation systems for equipment operation and process management.

Documentation & Quality Assurance :

Review documentation and verify calculations, tickets, and equipment readings.

Maintain accurate records to comply with regulatory standards, cGMP guidelines, and SOPs.

Identify and troubleshoot equipment, process, and documentation issues, providing solutions when needed.

Safety & Environmental Standards :

Follow established safety and environmental guidelines for all tasks performed.

Report safety incidents, injuries, illnesses, or near misses promptly.

Foster a positive safety culture and adhere to hazardous materials handling procedures.

Additional Responsibilities :

Conduct inventory counts of sanitization supplies and gowning articles, ensuring timely reordering.

Participate in audits and maintain inspection readiness.

Work collaboratively with the team to troubleshoot minor equipment and process issues.

Qualifications :

Education & Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent.

1–3 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.

Biotech certificate from an accredited program is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

Understanding of biopharmaceutical technology, processes, and fermentation.

Familiarity with cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and regulatory compliance.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Proficient with computer-based systems and automated production operations.

Ability to identify and resolve common problems independently.

Physical Demands :

Stand for 8–10 hours per shift.

Lift up to 25 lbs., carry up to 25 lbs., and exert push / pull forces of up to 50 lbs.

Climb stairs, bend, extend arms above shoulder height, and perform repetitive fine motor tasks.

Work in a cleanroom environment with mechanical equipment, high-pressure systems, and loud noise levels.

Work Environment :

Gowning required (scrubs, coveralls, gloves, steel-toe boots).

No jewelry or makeup allowed in cleanroom settings.

Work with hazardous materials and chemicals.
