Job Title: Office Assistant
Location: Ontario, CA 91764
Duration: 3 months of contract and possibility for extension.
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.
Job Description:
- To provide administrative support and ensure the efficient operation of office functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Composes and types form letters.
- Organizes, maintains, and retrieves claim files.
- Assembles and processes claim-related packets.
- Performs data entry and updates claim files accurately in the system.
- Prepares spreadsheets and documents using relevant software applications.
- Answers and places telephone calls as needed.
- Manages office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Handles outgoing mail, including overnight and messenger services.
- Processes returned mail and handles unidentified correspondence.
- Sends and receives facsimiles.
- Prints reports and documents as required.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports and adheres to the organization’s quality programs and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Licensing:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- Six (6) months of clerical experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.
