psychology.
Experience : Required - 3 years of experience working with young adults providing
trauma-informed care and a clinical background.
Licenses / certifications : Required - LPC-S, LPC
Supervises : RTH staff, and interns
Job Summary : The Program Director is responsible for using sound professional judgment
and best practices to supervise staff to ensure quality service are provided
to clients and the programs are in compliance with all policies, procedures
and contract requirements.
Essential Functions :
1. Manage program contract, budget and operations and ensure compliance with
appropriate laws, regulations, contracts, corporate policies, and budget requirements.
2. Provide guidance and leadership to staff with multiple programs to emphasize the
importance of the program achieving high standards of quality, internally and through
public and private sector partnerships.
3. Review and analyze monthly financial and statistical reports to assess the budget status
and to initiate preventative measures if any problems appear to be predicated.
4. Prepare presentation, training and facilitate groups that promote programs within the
community.
5. Provide clinical services as needed including individual and group therapy / peer support
groups.
6. Work with other organizations in the community to foster collaborations for outreach
opportunities as well as building partnerships.
7. Remain informed and educated on licensing requirements and ensure that any licensing
changes are quickly enforced within program.
8. Responsible for interviewing candidates, hiring staff with Regional Director input,
managing staff performance through providing coaching, counseling, creating
development plans, providing training, etc. Responsible for providing corrective action if
applicable up to possible termination of employees if necessary, complying with
applicable laws, regulations, Agency Personnel Policies and Procedure
9. Assist leadership in maintaining an internal policy and procedure manual of the
organizational structure and each program function based upon : State licensing
requirements, individual program / grant policies and procedures, and the agency's
internal policies and procedures. Maintenance of the procedure manual will be updated
as needed.
10. Ensure all personnel hired have required education, license, and experience to be an
affective member of the program team.
11. Manage budgets and expenditures by approving all expenses, monitoring spending, and
reviewing the financial general ledgers monthly.
12. Maintain organizational management structure which promotes best practices, facilitates
optimum delivery of services.
13. Follow agency hiring procedures, submits recommendations to the Regional Director for
approval.
14. Train, develop, and mentor all direct reporting staff to promote optimal performance
through regular communication and evaluations.
15. Works effectively with the BCHS HHS Regional Director and the management team.
16. Turns in receipts, case notes, expense reports, quarterly, annual reports, and other
required documentations for billing on time.
Measurable Deliverables :
1. Ensure program meets all outcomes as outlined by the DFPS / BCJP / CJD contracts, grants,
licenses, and programs.
2. Ensure compliance with all applicable contracts / grants / programs.
3. Ensure program and agency reports are submitted on time as proposed in the contract.
4. Ensure the budget is on track with contract and agency standards; staff within the
program submit requisitions for expenses within the time frame established by the
agency.
5. Conduct monthly file reviews to ensure compliance with license and contract
requirements. Reports reviews to Regional Director monthly and develops action plans
for compliance concerns and problems.
6. Ensure all staff are trained in program data collection and input all required information
into the appropriate database on a weekly basis.
7. Perform monthly reviews on database collection system and reports all issues and
concerns to the Regional Director.
8. Demonstrate the ability to :
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and
socio-economic characteristics.
b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English.
c. Work in a fast-paced environment.
d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
e. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a
member of a multidisciplinary team.
f. Travel as needed.
9. Other job duties as assigned per grant requirements.
Requirements :
1. Maintain certificates required for the position including but not limited to First Aid and
CPR.
2. Valid Texas Driver's license with a clear driving record and reliable transportation.
3. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.
4. Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request.
5. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check
fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years).
