A law firm seeks an Attorney Specialist to join its Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) practice group. This position is designed for attorneys interested in a long-term role that emphasizes support over partnership-track opportunities. The Attorney Specialist will focus on assisting with derivatives transactions and repurchase agreements for registered investment company clients, including mutual funds, ETFs, and closed-end funds.

Duties

  • Provide legal support on derivatives transactions and repurchase agreements.
  • Collaborate with partners and associates to serve mutual fund client relationships.
  • Offer guidance on regulatory compliance for investment fund operations.
  • Participate in drafting and negotiating legal documents related to asset management.
  • Assist in managing client projects with a focus on efficiency and quality.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in asset management, investment funds, or related legal practice areas.
  • Strong ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Demonstrated experience managing client projects or leading team initiatives.
  • Commitment to high-quality client service and a long-term role within the practice.

    • Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the United States; California Bar membership preferred.

    • Certifications

  • Active law license in good standing.

  • Strong academic credentials and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex legal projects.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
