Key ResponsibilitiesSupport clients in navigating complex financial distress scenarios, offering tailored legal solutions and representation.
Evaluate income, assets, liabilities, and other financial data to recommend viable debt relief strategies.
Prepare and file documentation, including bankruptcy petitions, schedules, disclosure statements, and repayment plans.
Represent clients at hearings, meetings of creditors, and courtroom proceedings before bankruptcy trustees and judges.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state bankruptcy regulations, with a focus on Chapters 7, 11, and 13.
Collaborate with paralegals, financial professionals, and client support teams to deliver end-to-end legal services.
Manage multiple case files with diligence, meeting all filing deadlines and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the process.
Must be actively licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
1–6 years of professional experience handling bankruptcy matters.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and appear in court or administrative hearings.
Familiarity with federal bankruptcy procedures, the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, and local court practices.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
Practical training or coursework in creditor-debtor relations or bankruptcy law preferred.
Strong written and oral communication abilities, including legal drafting and client advocacy.
High degree of organizational skill and the ability to track complex procedural timelines.
Technically proficient with legal research tools and bankruptcy filing software.
Committed to client confidentiality and maintaining ethical legal standards.
