This role will focus on class action employment law, including defending wage and hour class actions and PAGA cases. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of relevant experience in employment litigation, with a strong focus on class action defense. The firm offers a flexible work environment, including opportunities for remote work on occasion.Duties Take a lead role in defending class action lawsuits and managing cases through all stages, including strategy formulation, legal research, and trial preparation.Handle internal investigations, prepare and respond to discovery, and represent clients in depositions.Draft legal motions, pleadings, and briefs, ensuring high-quality, persuasive content.Argue motions in court and advocate for clients at hearings, conferences, and trials.Maintain regular communication with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure effective case management and resolution.Provide proactive legal advice to clients, evaluating options and guiding decisions toward favorable outcomes.Collaborate with partners, associates, and paralegals to ensure efficient and comprehensive case handling.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment litigation, specifically class action and PAGA defense.Strong written and oral advocacy skills with proven success in legal research, drafting, and court appearances.Ability to work independently while managing a substantial caseload.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.Familiarity with iManage and Coyote Analytics is preferred, but not required.Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.Ability to meet 1850 billable hours annually.Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications An active member of the California State Bar.Skills Expertise in employment law, particularly class action and wage and hour litigation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage complex legal matters with a high degree of professionalism.Strong research and analytical capabilities.Proficiency with legal management software such as iManage and Coyote Analytics is a plus.Flexible work schedule with remote work options.#J-18808-Ljbffr
