Employment Counsel

Job Overview : An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Employment Counsel with 8 years of expertise in employment law. This position, located in San Jose, can be either full-time or part-time. The ideal candidate will work directly with clients, providing legal support and advice on employment law matters, including advising on litigation and non-litigation issues. The role involves substantial client interaction, research, brief writing, motion practice, policy drafting, and investigation.Location : San Jose, CADuties : Provide legal counsel and support to clients on a wide range of employment law issues.Advise clients on litigation and non-litigation employment matters.Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.Conduct legal research and draft opinions on employment law issues.Take and defend depositions in employment-related disputes.Conduct investigations of complaints and prepare charge responses.Draft and review employment policies and procedures.Collaborate with other attorneys and work in a team-oriented environment.Requirements : Minimum 8 years of experience in employment law (both advisory and litigation).Strong academic credentials.Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.Proven ability to manage complex employment matters.Outstanding client service and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.Active California Bar license in good standing.Education : Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications : Must hold an active license to practice law in California.Skills : Expertise in employment law, including litigation and advising on employment-related issues.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to take initiative and manage multiple cases and clients.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to build and maintain client relationships.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
