The role involves collaborating on various music industry transactions, providing comprehensive legal counsel on music M&A transactions, and ensuring thorough due diligence.
Duties :
- Engage in high-level transactions within the music industry
- Collaborate on recording agreements, album clearance work, music publishing agreements, and more
- Provide legal counsel on music M&A transactions, including due diligence and contract preparation
- Review and negotiate acquisition, sale, and financing agreements
- Handle matters related to copyright, artificial intelligence, and rights of name / image / likeness / voice
- Assist with music catalog acquisitions and sales
- Work on management agreements, joint venture agreements, sponsorship, endorsements, and digital music licensing deals
- Conduct legal research and analysis on music industry regulations and trends
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence
- Represent clients in negotiations and meetings
Requirements :
Education :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications :
Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar
