Duties:
Conduct legal research and perform in-depth case analysis across estate-related issues
Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, correspondence, and discovery
Handle discovery, including requests, responses, and review
Prepare for and attend court hearings and depositions
Represent clients in probate, trust administration, conservatorships, and estate litigation matters
Collaborate with clients, judicial entities, and opposing counsel in a professional and effective manner
Support senior attorneys and engage in cross-training across practice areas
Requirements:
1-5 years of experience in legal practice, preferably with exposure to civil litigation or trust and estate disputes
Prior experience with hourly billing in litigation or estate-related matters is strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage independent casework and take ownership of responsibilities
Prior courtroom experience, including appearances and motion practice, is preferred but not mandatory
Willingness to engage in contested conservatorship or probate matters, with or without prior litigation background
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in California (Required)
Skills:
Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client and team interactions
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
Eagerness to learn from mentorship and grow within estate-related litigation and planning
