A law firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney for its Sacramento, CA, location. Below are the detailed requirements and responsibilities :

Job Overview :

The Insurance Defense Attorney will handle a caseload of insurance defense matters, including litigation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience and a strong understanding of California insurance laws.

Duties :

  • Provide legal representation to clients in insurance defense cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.

Requirements :

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • 2-7 years of experience practicing insurance defense law.
  • Familiarity with California civil procedure and insurance regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
