Job Overview :
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Junior Partner to join its established and growing real estate practice. Location :Duties :
- Handle a variety of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing.
- Manage transactions involving various asset types such as industrial, retail, and multi-family properties.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and execute real estate transaction strategies.
- Work on development, construction, asset management, and joint venture projects (if applicable).
- Provide legal counsel on real estate matters to clients, including structuring transactions and negotiating terms.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior associates and other team members within the practice group.
- At least 5 years of experience in real estate law, preferably within a large law firm, boutique practice, or in-house.
- Substantial experience in handling complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing.
- Strong substantive knowledge of real estate law and practice.
- Experience with specific components of commercial real estate (e.g., industrial, retail, multi-family) is preferred.
- Experience in development, construction, asset management, and joint venture work is a plus.
- Team-oriented with a strong desire to thrive in a collaborative practice environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the State Bar of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain it).
- In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate law, including acquisitions, financing, leasing, and dispositions.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage large, complex transactions from inception to completion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
