A prominent national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Partner to join their expanding practice in the Portland office. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned attorney with a solid portable book of business and leadership qualities. The position offers a collaborative and collegial work environment within a growing, debt-free law firm.

Duties

  • Expand and manage the Labor & Employment practice in the Portland office.
  • Represent clients in labor and employment matters, including litigation and advisory services.
  • Lead a team of attorneys in developing strategic legal solutions for clients.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s other practice groups and offices to ensure comprehensive client services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Engage in business development activities to further grow the firm’s client base.

Requirements

  • Minimum of $500,000 in portable business.
  • Significant experience in labor and employment law.
  • Proven leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior attorneys.
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills.

    • Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Oregon State Bar.

    • Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Oregon.
  • Additional bar admissions in relevant jurisdictions are advantageous but not required.

    • Skills

  • Exceptional legal knowledge in labor and employment law.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a significant caseload independently and efficiently.
  • Business development acumen with a focus on expanding client relationships.
