Job Overview : A law firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Life Science IP Partner to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring a portable and consistent book of business exceeding $600,000 and extensive expertise in life science prosecution, transactional, and litigation matters. This role offers a dynamic environment to manage various intellectual property issues within the life sciences sector.

Duties :

• Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of life science intellectual property matters, including prosecution, transactional work, and litigation.
• Cultivate and expand client relationships, ensuring high-quality service and strategic advice.
• Lead and oversee complex IP transactions, including licensing agreements, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Provide strategic guidance on patent portfolio management and IP risk assessments.
• Represent clients in life science-related IP disputes and litigation, including handling patent infringement cases and related legal matters.
• Collaborate with other partners and attorneys to integrate IP strategies with broader business objectives.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Stay current with industry trends and legal developments in the life sciences and intellectual property fields.
