This position offers an opportunity to support the practice by managing transactional databases, drafting legal templates, and keeping the team updated on regulatory changes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in knowledge management, legal education, and marketing efforts, helping the firm stay at the forefront of the M&A landscape. As a resource attorney, you will focus on providing critical support to attorneys, without working directly with clients, and will not be responsible for billing time.DutiesTransaction Database Management : Input and organize deal terms from finalized M&A transactions into the firm’s comprehensive transaction database.Collaborate with the knowledge management team to audit and maintain the database, ensuring it remains up-to-date and accurate.Form and Precedent Drafting : Draft and update template documents, as well as revise existing precedents.Curate, organize and maintain M&A forms, precedents, and other practice materials.Legal Updates : Track changes in laws and regulations that impact M&A practice.Prepare summaries and alerts to ensure the team is informed of new legal developments.Integrate new legal requirements into existing practice resources.Legal Education : Coordinate with the legal education team to create training content for associates and other firmwide learning initiatives related to M&A.Marketing and Business Development : Collaborate with the M&A marketing team on promoting the practice.Assist in creating content for marketing materials, such as blog posts, presentations, pitches, and articles.Assisting Individual Attorneys : Provide day-to-day support for attorneys’ requests for precedents, templates, and other necessary resources.New Initiatives : Contribute to practice innovation and knowledge management projects as they arise.Other Duties : Perform additional tasks as required to support the M&A team.RequirementsExperience : At least 7 years of experience in a U.S.-based M&A corporate / transactional practice.Proficient understanding of both public and private M&A , corporate governance, and board fiduciary duties.Strong drafting and organizational skills are essential.Skills : Excellent attention to detail, especially in document drafting and quality control.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple, ongoing projects.Flexibility and adaptability in handling evolving resource initiatives.Strong team collaboration skills; ability to work closely with other attorneys and stakeholders.Education : J.D. from an accredited law school.Certifications : Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to make a significant impact within a growing legal team, contributing to cutting-edge M&A work and supporting ongoing innovations in legal practice.#J-18808-Ljbffr
