A prestigious law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Associate Attorney with 2 years of experience to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate transactional work, particularly in mergers and acquisitions. This role requires excellent drafting and negotiating skills, the ability to collaborate effectively in a team, and manage various aspects of deals. The candidate must also be currently licensed to practice law in MA or eligible to obtain licensure in the state.
Duties:
- Lead and manage the due diligence process for mergers and acquisitions transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of transactional documents, including purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, and ancillary agreements.
- Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on complex corporate and M&A matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Work closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop and execute legal strategies.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of direct experience in mergers and acquisitions.
- A strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and relevant regulations.
- Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful deal execution.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
