Duties :
- Prepare and prosecute both domestic and international patent applications
- Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and IP due diligence analyses
- Draft patent opinions, with an emphasis on biotechnology or similar technologies
- Collaborate with clients to align IP strategy with business objectives
- Assist in providing strategic IP counseling and risk management for clients
Requirements :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in patent counseling and preparation / prosecution
- Proficiency in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, with a focus on biotechnology
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Education :
PhD in Biological Sciences (e.g., Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Genetics) or a closely related field
Certifications :
An active USPTO registration number required
Skills :
- High-level understanding of biotechnology patents and related legal frameworks
- Immediate transferable skills relevant to IP law practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
