Duties :
Handle patent prosecution and counseling for high-tech clients
Collaborate with engineers and developers to discuss technical details
Engage in direct client interaction, including with prominent tech companies
Support additional related legal work as required
Provide strategic guidance on patent law and related intellectual property matters
Draft legal documents related to patent prosecution and counseling
Ensure efficient management of patent portfolios for clients
Requirements :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent prosecution and counseling
Technical background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied physics, computer science, or a related field
Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively with both clients and colleagues
Ability to manage patent prosecution and counseling cases independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education :
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications :
U.S. bar membership
Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
Skills :
Strong understanding of patent law and technology
Experience in managing patent prosecution and counseling matters
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
Excellent writing and research abilities
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork
