As a Senior Associate in our Investment Funds team, you will play a key role in advising clients on complex investment fund transactions. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the formation of private equity, venture capital, real estate, and hedge funds, supporting secondary transactions, and structuring separately managed accounts and carry vehicles. You will also provide strategic advice on fund formation and investment opportunities, including legal and regulatory considerations, and draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of fund-related documents.
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years of experience in investment funds, with a focus on private equity, venture capital, real estate, and hedge funds. Experience in secondary transactions, separately managed accounts, and carry vehicle structuring is preferred. You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think conceptually and approach challenges with creative solutions. Additionally, you should have excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Our ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where they are applying. They will also have expertise in fund formation, secondary transactions, venture capital, private equity, and hedge funds, as well as experience working within teams and mentoring junior associates.
