Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple 3PL warehousing relationships, including operational oversight of 3PL warehouse facilities, receiving, pick/pack/routing/shipping process, cost, timing, capacity/flow planning and inventory accuracy
- Participate in the periodic review of BCI Brand's distribution network to ensure that it is designed to accommodate volume and service level objectives, including identifying and vetting potential 3PL's to add to BCI Brand's distribution network as needed
- Utilize data analytics to monitor and manage the monthly flow of merchandise into and out of 3PL's on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, as well as the status of order routing and picks
- Ensure operational standards are met by implementing productivity/efficiency initiatives and compliance auditing, identifying 3PL system improvement opportunities and resolving issues
- Effectively communicate distribution status to members of the operations team and upper management including appropriate KPIs
- Partner with Inventory Control team to maintain inventory integrity at 3PL's
- Work in conjunction with Accounts Receivable to review, recover and prevent 3PL-related retailer compliance chargebacks/violations
- Work closely with Logistics, Customer Operations and other departments, and utilize data analytics, to ensure that all aspects of distribution are optimized, including timely receipts of inbound shipment at 3PL's and picking, packing, routing and shipping
- Monitor status of VAS projects at 3PL's and availability of materials required for VAS projects
- Analyze and oversee prepaid outbound domestic freight for small packages and a limited volume of prepaid shipments to retailers, including identifying and vetting current and potential freight suppliers from cost, transit time and reliability perspectives
- Support ad hoc project needs of production department, quality control and other departments when involving merchandise at 3PL's
- Divide time between 3PL's in New Jersey and California as well as BCI's NYC office
- Apparel or soft goods industry experience
- 10 years of experience in warehouse/operations setting; 5 years of experience managing the relationships with and performance of multiple 3PL's on behalf of brand customers
- Strong problem-solving acumen and analytical decision-making
- Ability to use data analytics to manage short and long term operational performance goals, including timing and volume of receipts and shipments skills
- Proven track record of operational success through the use of data analytics and methodologies
- Proven ability to create management reporting to detail current status and future monthly time-phased flow estimates of receipts, shipments and inventory levels by 3PL
- Ability to maximize results of 3PL's in meeting daily, monthly and seasonal performance expectations
- Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects and 3PL relationships simultaneously and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse/3PL procedures and retailer routing and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with domestic freight vendors
- Advanced organizational, problem solving and time management skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including strategic use of pivot tables to enhance data analytics
- Familiarity with ERP and WMS systems
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and get people outside of your direct team on board to help meet goals and achieve success
