A day in the life :
Assist sales managers and division managers in determining what types of projects to bidDevelop specific project bid strategies, techniques, advantages, etc.Review all final estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotationParticipate in presentations to corporate management and clientsProvide assistance for close ordersProvide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc.Review estimating procedures and practices for efficiency and consistencyEngage in talent acquisition and talent developmentMaintain current estimating database; ensure that commodity material pricing is at current market levels; manage estimating software updatesInteract with fabrication and operations to develop and track time studies for prefabricationYou should have :
Electrical engineering degreeExperience in estimating commercial electrical projectsEstimation and bid experience of electrical projects in excess of $6M (single project)An understanding of electrical equipment and techniques, drawings and specificationsAbility to interpret and analyze computerized cost dataKnowledgeable / Proficiency in Accubid estimating software (or similar software Training can be provided.)Demonstrated skills, experience and proficiency with technology, including knowledge and experience using Microsoft ExcelAbility to deal diplomatically and effectively with teammates and external customersApply online : www.ColonialWebb.com / careers .
