Primary Purpose of this position :
Supervise, oversee and develop activities of service technicians and assigned accounts.
Specific Job Duties :
Maintain and implement procedures for a safe work environmentProvide feedback to management on progress of technicians and help identify individual and departmental training needsProvide feedback on equipment, tools, instrumentation, etc.Keep management informed of potential safety, personnel or customer issuesMonitor project schedules to ensure timely completionTrack service technician call backs and consult with technician on how to prevent a reoccurring eventComplete QC inspections of projectsOversee the activities of assigned service techniciansEvaluate existing staffing levels and make recommendations for hiring new techniciansAssist management with interviewing and determining suitability of applicants as potential new hiresReview performance of technicians and address when necessarySupport technicians with technical back up providing hands on training when required as well as working directly day to day with technicians to service accountsFollow up with vendors on parts ordered by technicians to ensure equipment is installed per specificationsMaintain specified / required gross margin on all project quotesProvide management with detailed quote summary forms to include vendor and pricingOther Requirements :
Punctual and regular attendanceAbility to work on a team and interact with peopleCommunicate effectively with employees and customersAbility to operate and use a man lift, personal lift, chain hoist, duct jackValid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualification policyMust be able to respond to service calls after regular working hours and on weekendValid drivers license and ability to meet company driver qualification policyEducation and Experience Requirements :
Must be a high school or trade school graduate or have a GEDCompletion of a vocational program of study or apprenticeship program a plusEPA Universal Certification3-5 years HVAC experienceSupervisory experience a plusIf you are interested in :
