Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance & Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring BCM Inks’ products meet the highest quality standards. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 procedures, conducting quality checks, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve quality issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit and maintain ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring all procedures and documentation are up to date.
- Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Act as a liaison between customers, sales, and internal teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances in BCM products.
- Maintain calibration records and coordinate with external vendors for equipment calibration.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality assurance data for management reviews.
- Train employees on quality assurance procedures, ensuring company-wide adherence to best practices.
- Develop and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Technical Data Sheets (TDS) for BCM Inks products.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OSHA and VOC reporting.
- Maintain Batch Ticket Nonconformances, track reasons formulas are not passing QC, and report trends to improve processes.
- Identify recurring quality issues, work with production and lab teams to improve formula consistency, and recommend process improvements.
- Assist in developing and improving quality control procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support production teams with troubleshooting and quality-related guidance as needed.
- Assist the Operations Manager as needed to achieve BCM goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- Experience in quality assurance, quality control, or compliance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experienced with ISO 9001 standards and auditing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis.
- Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production, sales, and customer service teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in the printing, ink, or coatings industry.
- Knowledge of calibration procedures and laboratory testing equipment.
