What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Scheduler position at BCMC?
Seeking a Project Scheduler for the development, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of IT and Cybersecurity-based project schedules, project documentation, and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). The position will be an integral part of a small Program Management (PM) team to ensure the schedule/project plan (scope, cost, schedule and technical requirements are fully integrated) is executing as planned.
Required Skills: •A current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI. •Must be able to obtain DHS suitability prior to starting employment. •Must have a familiarity with project management, project planning and scheduling •Demonstrated Microsoft Project experience (or similar project scheduling software) •Demonstrated Microsoft Office experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) •Must have basic knowledge and fundamental understanding of IT and Cybersecurity (LANs, WANs, firewalls, routers, switches, virtual environments) •Demonstrated ability to interact professionally at all levels of management. •Demonstrated, polished presentation skills that succinctly articulate complex ideas and concepts at executive levels of management •Focused on customer needs with a sense of urgency •Excellent follow through and persistence •The ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment •Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users •Excellent customer service skills and demeanor
Desired Skills: •Demonstrated knowledge of PMI PMBOK framework and common Project Management processes and procedures, Risk Management, and Earned Value Management •Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and Project Teams (PT) in planning, scheduling, reporting, and cost estimating tasks
Education: Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience or Master's degree with 6 years of related experience.
Certification: •Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) certification
