What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Software Engineer position at BCMC?
BCMC is looking for a Senior Software Developer to support a DoD Customer. This is a REMOTE position.
Clearance: Must be U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret security clearance.
Core Work Hours: 7am - 4pm EST Monday – Friday, except Government Holidays
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8 years of related experience
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the technical design for architecture, responsible for overall code quality ensuring a highly available and recoverable environment
- Responsible for engineering, developing, and integration (TSR/TSO, SOAP web services, XML/XSD, ServiceNow)
- Assist with the design, prototype, implement, test, and deploy business rules and technical solutions
- Develop custom integration components and integrate legacy systems with platform using mid-server and other relevant technologies
- Document, maintain and update policies, procedures and controls for the platform operation and software development life cycle while promoting agile development.
- Assist ServiceNow System Administrators with incident resolution, as needed
- Designs and develops new ServiceNow applications and services
- Assist ServiceNow Business Analyst in estimating release level of effort
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 years of Software Development/Engineer experience
- 3 years of ServiceNow Development experience
- In-depth understanding of database structure principles
- Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
- Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
- Experience with front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS)
- Experience with custom REST/SOAP APIs
- Experience with requirements gathering, use case development, and functional specification development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with DoD clients and familiarity with DoD processes and procedures
- Experience with ServiceNow implementations and familiarity with ServiceNow workflows, integrations, and customization
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Agile modules
- Either have or able to obtain Security Certification
