What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. ServiceNow/Software Engineer position at BCMC?
BCMC is seeking a Senior ServiceNow/Software Engineer to support a United States Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment.
Clearance: Must be U.S. Citizen to be eligible for DoD Secret security clearance.
Core Work Hours: 7a-4p Monday – Friday, except Government Holidays
Place of Performance: Remote
Certifications: Must be eligible for COMPTIA SecurityResponsibilities Include:
- Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams as a key contributor responsible for the design, test and implementation of advanced software capabilities.
- Developing and performing automated builds, testing, and deployments
- Transition and integrate legacy systems.
- Develop high quality technical documentation, including user guides, test plans, and contract deliverable items and supporting product training.
- Assist architects in the design and integration of ServiceNow with other systems and applications to create seamless end-to-end processes.
Requirements:
- Experience working from the Agile development environment.
- Experience and strong knowledge in ServiceNow development and configuration.
- Experience in XML and schema development (desired).
- Experience in UI/UX development (desired).
- Experience in transitioning and integrating interfacing systems using Restful APIs.
- Able to design, configure, customize and implement ServiceNow and custom applications to meet specific business and mission requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on implementation of ServiceNow solutions that align with the designed requirements and ensure solutions meet industry’s best practices.
- Develop and maintain advanced scripts, business rules, and client scripts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations.
- Collaborate with support teams to provide timely resolution to incidents and defects.
- Work closely with the project team and stakeholders to ensure seamless project coordination and effective, regular communication, including risks, issues, successes, and overall project status.
Required Education:
BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, OR Computer Systems Engineering. [Eight (8) years of experience (for a total of fourteen (14) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.]
