Key Responsibilities :
Quality Assurance & Inspections :
Conduct thorough inspections of telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic cables, conduit installations, and network connections, to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.Perform quality control checks on equipment and materials used in the field, ensuring they meet company and customer standards.Review project plans, blueprints, and designs to verify accuracy and ensure that all work meets industry and safety regulations.Document inspection findings, noting any discrepancies or issues, and work with the team to address them promptly.Safety & Compliance :
Monitor job sites to ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations and company policies.Identify potential hazards, take proactive steps to address safety concerns, and stop work when necessary to ensure a safe work environment.Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work site, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and safe for use.Participate in safety meetings and ensure all field personnel are following proper safety protocols.Reporting & Documentation :
Complete detailed inspection reports and submit all required documentation to management, including daily logs, safety compliance reports, and project updates.Track and monitor progress on quality issues, reporting any findings to the project manager or supervisor in a timely manner.Maintain accurate records of inspections, job site conditions, and compliance status.Communication & Coordination :
Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and field personnel to ensure work is on track and meets quality expectations.Communicate directly with customers’ field personnel to ensure quality standards are aligned with customer requirements.Assist in educating team members and QA / QC technicians to refine quality control processes and address recurring field issues.Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or GED required; further education or certifications in quality control or construction management is preferred.Experience :Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications, construction, or quality control.
Familiarity with quality assurance procedures, inspection techniques, and industry standards.Skills :Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic networks and cable installations.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot and address quality issues.Good communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Physical Requirements :Ability to perform field inspections in outdoor environments and under varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Willingness to travel and work in remote or rural areas when necessary.Why Join BCOMM Constructors?
