Valve Engineer / Component Engineer
Work Location: The position would likely be hybrid, however we have moved to 2 days a week on-site so I would anticipate this role being a few days on-site per 2 weeks. (Salem, NJ)
Per diem: $166.00 (7 days)
Duration: 11 months
Mob / Demob: $500 each
Hours: Mostly Remote

Position will provide engineering support/design review for MOV and AOV related projects
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise in the identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating, safety, and design issues to ensure plant reliability and availability
- Including use of technical expertise to support safe and reliable plant operation and maintenance of valves/components.
- Developing mechanical technical evaluations e.g. repair plans, bolting, torquing, and gasket evaluations
- Monitoring, trending and assessing system, program and component health to improve plant reliability.
- Championing Strategic Improvements to Systems and components
- Support valve maintenance and work management by resolving engineering technical issues within the work management process, including simple trouble shooting support.

- Leading complex troubleshooting activities with maintenance and operations support.
- Leading design, development and installation of strategic, emergent and temporary modifications in the plant.
- Identify, prioritize and support other plant processes and programs including: the corrective action program, operability determination, adverse condition monitoring and operational decision making processes.
- Perform field support of plant activities and conducting paired or individual system walk downs
- Requirements:Minimum 15 years of experience
- Engineering degree plus 5 years commercial nuclear experience
Physical Requirements: Lift 50lbs, perform walk downs
