Project Field Engineer - New Mexico
Work Location: Full Time on Site

Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the entire engineering process from design start through review & approval. Once the field activities commence, the FE will own the design for the project and ensure expeditious corrections are made to the design when required to minimize the impact of ongoing field work.
- Design Engineering – The FE will represent the project during processing of the design or MOD. The FE will support the smooth processing of the engineering design/MOD and ensure it meets its schedule including the on-site reviews. The FE will recognize early if the agreed upon schedule falls behind and alert the project team so a recovery plan can be developed. During recovery, the FE will track recovery actions as engineering recovers the lost time. The main goal is to preserve the agreed upon schedule dates for Design/MOD approval. During planning development, the FE will support planners for any engineering related issues and will act as the main POC for any constructability reviews.
- Vendors - The FE will support vendors during field walkdowns representing all engineering issues.
- Scheduling - The FE will support the project during development of the realistic design/MOD schedule. The FE will communicate status of Engineering activities to the Project Scheduler/Project Manager (PM).
- Estimating – The FE will support the Project Estimator and PM during development of the Project Estimate for all Engineering support impacts. This includes the Design processors, Design Reviewers, potential design revisions, drawing revisions, testing and closeout activities.
- Project Execution – The FE will own the Engineering during installation of a Design or MOD. During discovery of a field issue that potentially requires revision to the Design or MOD, the FE will lead the correction to the field issue with the main goal of minimizing the delay impacts to the field work. The FE will provide mark-ups and recommendations for correction to the Design Engineer owner as the revision is processed, reviewed and approved.
- Project Risk – The FE will provide input to the project team for engineering related items during development and revision of the Risk Register. The FE will pay attention to other projects with design issues to determine impact on their project. This will also include ensuring all engineering related lessons learned are adequately applied. For new lessons learned, ensure they are shared with other potentially impacted projects.
- Testing – The FE will ensure adequate testing activities are planned for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) after installation. The FE will manage the testing during FAT and SAT and ensure requirements are met and captured for a smooth transition to acceptance and commissioning.
- Project Closeout – The FE will support the project during close-out for all engineering activities. The FE will ensure all engineering documentation is complete and documented as required. This also includes validating drawings
- Requirements:Personnel must be capable of obtaining a NRC L-level security clearance
