Work Schedules could be as follows:
Typically Mon-Fri daylight between 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., requires some flexibility to provide support to our clients with evening and weekend employment. Part time is 4 days week.
or
Typically daylight hours Mon-Fri between 7:15 a.m.- 3:15 p.m. Part time is 4 days a week.
This is a Direct Support Professional role in which you will function as a Community Life Skills Support / Job Coach. You will play an important role in providing services to individuals who may have: intellectual disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, behavior health disorders and/or mental health diagnosis as they work to overcome employment barriers and live lives that are more independent. Experience working with individuals with disabilities helpful but not required. Ongoing training will be provided.
A typical day might include:
o Participating in activities with particpants that help them achieve individual goals of indepent living and employment through community events or volunteerism.
o Providing oversight in a vocational workshop, mobile worksites, or through volunteer opportunities.
o Coaching participants in identifying and pursuing employment opportunities including networking with area businesses, researching the job market, resume writing, and interviewing skills.
o Equipping participants to gain independent life skills such as: riding public transportation, ordering at a restaurant, social skills and peer interaction, managing their money, and much more.
o Documenting particpant service notes and outcomes.
