We are looking for a self-motivated, EXPERIENCED, detail-oriented, ambitious team player to join our growing team as a Lead Security Installation Technician. This position includes lots of room for growth! Eligible candidates MUST HAVE experience installing and programming and installation burglar alarms, access control and CCTV security surveillance solutions. Professionalism with clients, taking pride in your work, and being able to troubleshoot are absolute MUSTS.
This is a full-time, customer service-focused position in a very active office. Proficiency with computers, professionalism with clients and taking pride in your work are required skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, test, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all Security systems at customer sites
- Installation will include, but not limited to: Video Surveillance systems, IP and Analog cameras, wireless, Access Control panels, Intrusion Panels, magnetic locks, card readers, motion sensors, door contacts, electric door strikes, etc.
- On-site work will include installation and configuration of head-end computer systems, installation, termination, and calibration of field devices and sensors, and installation of communication infrastructure including conduit, enclosures and cables
- Perform assigned projects within scope, in a timely manner, and on budget
- Perform site surveys for clients and Sales Department for project bid opportunities
- Assist in design and configuration of server room/rack equipment environments
- Close out each project, get customer sign off and provide customers with system operation training
- Excellent attention to detail including maintaining concise daily records and following of operational standards and practices
- Assume responsibility for company owned vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Troubleshoot miscellaneous cabling and security system issues
- Installation of other items, such as: access points, time clocks, paging equipment, etc.
- Other duties as needed.
- At least 4 years of experience installing video surveillance/access control systems:
- Video Surveillance: Verkada, Axis, Exaqc
- Burglar Alarms: DSC & Verkada
- Access Control: Axis, Exaqc, Hikvision, Kantech, Tyco
- Exposure to several different security platforms and technologies with the goal of creating cohesive solutions for our customers
- Must be able to work both independently and with a team
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, engineers, PM’s, techs- both written and verbal
- MUST have a working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
- Detail-oriented, organized and consistent workflow
- Have a positive attitude and superior interpersonal skills for communication with clients and team
- Serve as subject matter expert and mentor to assigned team of technicians
- Ability to multitask
- Be open to learning
- Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience with cabling in the field
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with leading technicians in the field
- Experienced with installing and troubleshooting: Category 5e, Category 6 & 6a, feed pair cables, fiber optic cabling, and rack equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot miscellaneous cabling issues (such as faulty wiring or jacks at the station-side, patch-panel side, and demarcation locations)
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good organizational and documentation skills
- Professional in appearance and ability to work with clients in the field
- Ability to lift 80 pounds
- Experience driving scissor and/or boom lifts
- Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and insurable
- Good computer skills
- Experience with reading blueprints/building plans
- Willingness to work flexible hours occasionally to meet client deadlines (including: early mornings or late nights or overnight visits)
- Panduit and Corning certifications
- Experience with Avigilon and Honeywell
- Boom and/or scissor lift certifications
- Cable certification experience (with tools such as Fluke)
- Audio visual installation experience
- Security/Access Control installation experience
- Bluebeam experience
