Job Summary:
We are currently hiring a Senior Quality & Engineering Lead to own the development and implementation of scalable quality systems while contributing to engineering process optimization across the organization. This role is ideal for a technically strong, credentialed professional who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product development, and quality improvement and can partner closely with project engineers, manufacturing, and leadership to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and refine product and process quality standards across engineering and manufacturing functions.
- Own and improve CAPA, complaint handling, and nonconformance processes in alignment with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with project engineers to define specifications, ensure manufacturability, and support NPD (new product development).
- Conduct root cause analysis and apply lean/six sigma principles to eliminate defects and reduce cycle time.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts in alignment with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 13485) and QSR 21 CFR Part 820 where applicable.
- Utilize tools like Minitab, SolidWorks, Microsoft Navision and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) to support process optimization and reporting.
- Serve as a technical advisor on quality engineering, product testing, validation, and documentation strategies.
- Review and improve 3D CAD models, drawings, and assembly documentation for accuracy and quality compliance.
- Interface with suppliers and vendors on quality expectations and process standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s a plus).
• 8 years of experience across quality engineering, process development, or product-focused roles.
• Certifications strongly preferred: Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, PE, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with TrackWise, MasterControl, or other QMS/CAPA software systems.
• Experience in FDA-regulated or ISO-compliant environments preferred.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence without authority.
