What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Coordinator (Contract) position at BCS Non-Profit?
This position is located on the Upper East Side but we are looking for candidates who live in the Upper Manhattan/Bronx/Westchester Area. Eventually we will be moving our offices to Rye, NY.
This is contract to hire position, to work full time 37.5 hours a week in the HR Department.
This is a Hybrid position requiring the candidate to come into the office 3 days a week. The schedule is M-F 9a-5p.
This position is non-exempt. Pay up to $30.00 per hour.
Essential Job Functions
The coordinator provides support to the Talent Acquisition Specialist Team with all aspect of the on-boarding process.
- Facilitate a seamless new hire pre-employment / on-boarding practice for new hires.
- Knowledgeable and flexible in facilitating new- hire orientation on-site, and virtually.
- Coordinate and track pre-employment screening requirements such as background checks, drug screens, DMV checks, pre-employment medical exams, and credentialing of license personnel (i.e., Registered Nurse, Physician, NYS Technologists, ASCP Technologist).
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office 365 and working knowledge of Applicant Tracking systems preferably (ICIMS, Workday, ADP, Peoplesoft, and UltiPro).
- Serves as the point of contact for all issues related to on-boarding, and new employees’ general questions.
- Create and ensure all required onboarding paperwork is complete and filed in candidate’s folder.
- Excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks in an environment with large volumes of data and paperwork.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; College Degree or coursework in Human Resources preferred.
Experience:
2-3 years of experience in Human Resources full cycle recruiting environment, with a working understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
**MUST be able to multi-task, and be detailed oriented, organized, and have strong follow-up skills.
