This position also requires jumping on a client’s production call where there is production is performance issue. Candidate will be handling any database related issues at real time with client on call

Key Responsibilities
Perform data analysis and database management.
Development of high-quality database solutions.
Creating and maintaining database standards and policies.
Supporting database design, creation, and testing activities.
Managing the database availability and performance, including incident and problem management.
Administering database objects to achieve optimum utilization.
Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL.
Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
Suggest the areas where the queries identified can be improved.
Identify all queries involved in the dead locks and fix those queries.
Identifying any performance related issues at various client environment and propose the solution to addresses those issues.
Designing high availability and disaster recovery solution that aligns with Central Fill application.
Review and identify the security risk at database. Propose the fix to those securities issues identified.
Skills and Experience
10 years of experience as a SQL DBA or similar role or combination of other database tools
Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming
Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
5 years of experience with database security practices and tools e.g. Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS). Good understanding of SQL Data masking.
5 years of experience of SQL Always-on
Knowledge of latest security methods for database / application productivity
Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CICD) practices and tools e.g Azure DevOps, Git a plus
Ability to summarize information and communicate upstream and downstream
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and problem solve
Experience in the pharmacy automation industry a plus
Good working knowledge of SQL always-on any third parties high availability solutions.
