Overview:
Monster Transmission is seeking a skilled and experienced Transmission Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced with Chevy, Dodge, and Ford transmissions. In this position you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance and repair of transmissions using your experience to ensure that we continue to deliver quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble transmissions following established procedures and guidelines.
- Identify and diagnose transmission issues, ensuring accurate and efficient repairs.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to assemble, align, and adjust transmission components.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure the precision and reliability of assembled transmissions.
- Detect and rectify any defects or malfunctions during the assembly process.
- Perform functional tests to validate the proper functioning of transmissions before installation.
- Collaborate with other technicians, mechanics, and team members to troubleshoot complex transmission problems.
- Maintain detailed records of all transmissions worked on, documenting assembly processes, parts used, and any issues encountered.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in transmission technology and industry best practices.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Comply with all relevant regulations, including environmental and occupational safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Previous hands-on experience building and tearing down transmissions (required).
- Certification in transmission repair and rebuilding from a recognized automotive institution (preferred).
- In-depth understanding of transmission systems, torque converters, gears, clutches, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot transmission issues accurately.
- Thorough knowledge of transmission assembly processes, including aligning and adjusting components to meet specifications.
- Familiarity with occupational safety standards and environmental regulations applicable to automotive repair and assembly.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment required for transmission assembly and repair.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
Working Conditions
- Office/production facility environment.
- Steel toe boots and other personal protective equipment is required.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds
