Job Summary : The Operations & Business Development Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans while driving to increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company`s ambitious growth and managing various disciplines of manufacturing processes to create a safe and innovative environment for manufacturing operations. They will also provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis : 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal / external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions :
- Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS) and product / service to defined quality levels
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Plans, monitors, controls, and manages personnel to established production and quality control standards for specifications and delivery dates of products / services
- Mentors Section Manager, Team Leads, and monitors staffing needs to meet workflow and customer requirements to maintain the effective operations and cost factors
- Initiates and conducts process improvement communication with team members and management staff; daily start up meetings and communicates touch point to relay operational status, safety, and quality callouts and / or follow-up
- Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of staffing, machines, and equipment
- Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality – practice and teach processes to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborates in various corporate initiatives such as 5S, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, ISO certification, etc.
- Maintains and report out on KPI (Key Process Indicators) for area / product; assists with development of new impactful KPIs for areas and facility
- Consults with engineering staff relative to modification of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of products
- Directs, manages, and participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and policies
- Collaborates in development and implementation of sales plans to accommodate corporate goals
- Drives sales to increase revenue and profitability while maintaining minimal operational expenses
- Develop a dealer base in strategic regions that will maximize the company’s overall growth objectives
- Manage dealer relationships and provide pipeline sales opportunities to the dealer base
- Provides ongoing reporting to leadership to include recommendations on enhanced market penetration and increased revenue and other key business developments
- Develops and organizes new business development initiatives
- Oversee department budget
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure proper branding standards
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
