We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Duties
- Drive a box truck or other delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring that items are handled with care and organized properly.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, making adjustments as necessary to accommodate traffic or weather conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in route driving and familiarity with local roads is preferred.
- Ability to operate a box truck; experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing delivery schedules and paperwork.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 150 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
