Overview of Responsibilities
- Installs, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and adjusts all electrical and mechanical equipment and systems throughout the facility, including assisting with engineering projects and other continuous improvement activities.
- Maintains production equipment and ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.
- Supports Controls Coordinator and Process Engineers in mechanical and electrical systems, programming and Vision Systems.
- Instructs machine operators on proper methods of operation, preventative maintenance and safety to assure quality and quantity of parts; Inventories spare parts for machines and equipment.
- Acts as a leader, coach and team builder to fellow associates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree - electro-mechanical, technology or other related technical field
- Basic electrical and computer knowledge, plus proficiency in mechanical/technical systems and troubleshooting
- Ability to read, write, interpret, comprehend and consistently follow specifications written in English.
