Essential Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Machine Operation
- Safely operates powered industrial forklifts in a warehouse and a high traffic production environment. Operator must carry out to detailed policies and procedures including but not limited to safety inspections, GMP requirements, use of safety equipment.
- Uses forklift to safely and efficiently move pallets, coordinate bulk equipment movement to maintain optimal line efficiency.
- Assists operators in manually loading and unloading products.
- Completes general housekeeping necessary to comply with quality standards in medical device manufacturing facility.
- Prepares product for manual/automated processing.
- Supports loading/unloading product from/to trailers.
- Operators must effectively agree with the others to ensure effective shift transfer and communication.
- Support business needs by working overtime as vital to satisfy schedule requirements
- Safety
- Participate fully to achieve the department’s safety goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Holds self accountable to follow all safety policies & procedures.
- Debrief accidents and implement solutions to eliminate root cause.
- Hold team members to safety standards/regulations & policies.
- Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
- High School diploma or equivalent, required
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Forklift – Must be able to obtain License within 3 months
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word preferred) - Basic
- PCP Level 3: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
- High speed manufacturing environment. Must remain alert and focused.
- No air-conditioning in parts of sterilization/warehouse area.
- May have intermittent exposure to chemicals.
- Degree of exposure to dust, dirt, heat, fumes, noise, vibration and chemicals.
- When working outside, any & all physical elements of weather & temperature may be present. Inside, noise is the major distraction.
- Safety glasses must be worn when in the warehouse
- Some physical exertion, including lifting, may be required.
- Safety Shoes required
