Job Description
The VP, BD Excellence Training and Learning Development will develop, roll out and manage the learning and development pillar of BD Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the development of the BD Excellence University offerings to include on-site training in Franklin Lakes, Virtual Training via a sophisticated online learning platform, and Gemba learning at BD sites around the world
- Develop and deliver a curriculum to support associates overall understanding of BD Excellence and a train the trainer culture.
- Partner with BDX Learning and Development teams to seamlessly incorporate BD Excellence material and concepts into BD's broader leadership and development training curriculum.
- Develop a Virtual BD Excellence University supported by a world class virtual learning platform. Virtual academy to provide courses with sophisticated curriculums and knowledge checks for those associates who cannot attend in person training.
- Develop in person BD Excellence University where classes are taught by associates around the fundamental tools of Kaizen, Problem Solving, VPM etc….
- Manage website/data base of BD Excellence tools, ensuring an intuitive, highly searchable database that allows associates to find training on tools, material needed for kaizens, problem solving, VPM, etc… and connect with colleagues who are masters in the various tools
- Develop leadership training on the culture of lean and how to incorporate the mindset into all aspects of being a leader at BD.
- Work with subject matter experts to develop all training content to be utilized across different training modalities.
Requirements:
- 10 Years experience developing and working in a corporate training environment.
- Deep understanding of virtual learning platforms and how to develop one from scratch.
- Experience developing and/or managing a train the trainer program with certifications.
- Experience managing a training budget.
- Experience hiring and working with outside vendors to create word class content.
- Experience developing engaging training for both in person and virtual environments that uses psychology of learning to maximize impact.
- Taking into account cultural differences to drive adoption of new tools and approaches.
- Taking on new projects and roles and demonstrating success within an accelerated time frame.
- Knowledge of regulatory framework for Medical Devices, federal, state, or local mandates including, but not limited to, FDA, OSHA, EPA, SFDA, etc.
- Medical Experience
- Commercial Experience (Sales or Marketing)
