Austin-based law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to support a growing civil litigation, real estate, construction, and school law team.
The position will be responsible for managing case files, researching law, preparing legal documents, investigating facts, as well as attending hearings, mediations, and trials. The Associate Attorney will also provide legal advice, guidance, and support concerning a variety of areas of law, including : business law; real estate law; construction law; public finance law; and school law. This position requires the ability to identify and handle complex legal issues, with a focus on providing civil litigation support.
Qualified candidates must have the following :
- Texas Bar membership in good standing;
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school;
- 5 years' experience working as an attorney in Texas;
- strong writing and research skills;
- an excellent work ethic and a strong desire to learn;
- willingness to travel intermittently around the State for trials, board meetings, conferences, etc.;
- the ability to work well with others in a team environment; and
- the ability to meet and talk with clients and potential clients effectively, including at conferences and other marketing-related functions.
