Job Definition:
The SAP EDI & Integration Architect is responsible for managing and optimizing the EDI and cXML business processes from end-to-end, and connections to managed vendor portals like Ariba. Working with our partners, they will lead the SAP EDI & Integration implementation projects, projects to extend and optimize communications, ensure continuous and accurate flow of information within their domain, and provide ongoing support for existing electronic communication.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate, design, build in conjunction with our EDI partner, test, and implement EDI messages between customers, vendors, banks, and other 3rd parties.
- Provide ongoing support of existing ongoing electronic communication processes.
- Work with business users to optimize EDI processes, utilizing IDOCs, cXML, EDI X12, and other interchange protocols.
- Demonstrate very strong expertise of SAP orders, delivery, shipments, invoices, payments, chargebacks, and rebate functionality.
- Interface with SAP functional team, EDI Partner, SAP Integration Suite Analyst, offshore SAP developers, and business process Super Users to deliver end to end electronic communication functionality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize electronic communication process improvement initiatives.
- Design and implement electronic communication process solutions, working with business and SAP functional teammates.
- Validate that the application requirements meet overall business process needs, are within the project scope, and are internally consistent.
- Follow BDI best practices methodology to ensure electronic communication optimization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in SAP EDI inbound and outbound interface functionality, and developing and supporting interfaces for different business processes, especially in SD & LE, AR & AP Finance areas.
- In depth experience with SAP and EDI error handling best practices
- Working knowledge of cXML
- Ability to define and communicate the “big picture” in terms of the overall integration solutions
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written, as well as professionalism working with business partners.
- Ability to demonstrate strong team working abilities and commitment.
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly organized
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite strongly preferred
