Overview :
Passionate about risk, internal controls and ESG, you will strive to respond to your clients needs by identifying, assessing and managing their risks, performing and / or providing support in the execution of internal audits, optimizing or implementing internal control and risk management frameworks. Additionally, youre experienced in assessing and testing internal control frameworks subject to Sarbanes-Oxley regulation (SOx).
As a manager, you will be part of a young, ambitious and dynamic team specialized in Internal controls, Risk Management and Internal audit in a wide variety of sectors and servicing national and international clients. You will have direct access to all other services provided by BDO, allowing you to cross-serve and apply various subject matter expertise. You will actively contribute in less mature domains such as ESG, Cyber Security and Data Governance.
What will you be doing? :
- Manage internal control, risk management and internal audit engagements;
- Analyze process risks and controls from a risk and efficiency point of view;
- Provide pragmatic recommendations to improve your clients internal control framework;
- Plan, coordinate and review work performed by junior and senior colleagues, ensuring quality and meeting client deadlines;
- Write / review reports;
- Act as single-point-of-contact for clients in your client portfolio
- Lead client meetings and / or facilitate workshops
- Support business development by hunting opportunities at new clients or by farming at existing clients.
- Actively contribute to the development of our product portfolio
What do you bring to the table? :
You have a masters degree and 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in internal controls, risk management and internal audit;You have profound knowledge of the most common business processes (specific sector expertise is a definite plus);You are able to find a balance between working independently and remaining available for your colleagues and clients;You are a people person, determined to pass on your knowledge to younger colleagues and contribute to their development. Next to being a manager, you are trustworthy and a team-player your team can rely upon;You are familiar with internal audit standards (IIA / IPPF), CIA certification or equivalent is a plus;You are eager to learn and apply a critical mindset;You value quality in all aspects of your work, take ownership of your deliverables and are willing to go the extra mile when required;You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.You are pragmatic, always looking for the most appropriate solution in all circumstancesYou are fluent in Dutch and English, French proficiency is a plus.What do we bring to the table? :
