What will you be doing?
As an Internal Project/Portfolio Manager at BDO Belgium, you will spearhead and oversee multifaceted projects. Your role will be pivotal in coordinating & challenging cross-functional support teams, implementing action plans, strategizing communication, and executing comprehensive tasks.
Providing Strategic Guidance:
- Critically assess project plans and decisions, challenging the project’s team to ensure robust strategies and solutions.
- Offer guidance on project management, timing, and methodologies to other project managers.
- Advise department heads, managers, and staff on program updates and interpretations.
- Prepare and steer the Project Initiation Document (PID) in collaboration with the Business – EXCO/COO.
- Track and critically evaluate all internal projects within BDO, reporting on progress and challenges to COO/EXCO.
Leading Overarching Projects:
- Take the lead in meetings, confidently driving discussions and ensuring clarity in objectives and responsibilities.
- Facilitate communication among cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and efficiency.
- Monitor action plans, devise communication strategies, and execute comprehensive tasks.
- Report and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to projects, ensuring progress aligns with objectives.
- Proactively address and resolve issues to maintain project momentum

- Excellent communication & written skills in Dutch, French, and English.
- Expertise in project monitoring and progress evaluation.
- Hands-on approach with strong leadership in meetings, flexibility, excellent communication, and analytical skills.
- Self-reliance, a team-player attitude, and a process-oriented, customer-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
